The company provides natural gas distribution services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers through approximately 800,000 meters serving over two million people in more than 140 communities across Oregon and southwest Washington via NW Natural; natural gas distribution to around 70,000 customers in the Texas Triangle (Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas) via SiEnergy; water distribution and wastewater services to over 189,000 people through about 76,100 connections in the Pacific Northwest, Texas, Arizona, and California via NW Natural Water; renewable natural gas production and other renewable fuels for utility, commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors via NW Natural Renewables; and additional services including underground natural gas storage (21.6 billion cubic feet capacity in Oregon), natural gas asset management, and appliance retail. Geographically, its operations span seven states, emphasizing essential energy delivery, water services, and energy transition initiatives with a commitment to safety, reliability, and environmental stewardship. In recent strategic developments, the company completed the acquisition of SiEnergy Operating LLC in January 2025, expanding its Texas natural gas footprint with a high-growth utility boasting 26% compounded annual rate base growth and 22% customer growth over the prior five years; and closed the acquisition of Hughes Gas Resources Inc. in June 2025 for $60 million, adding approximately 6,900 connections northeast of Houston and enhancing SiEnergy's scale with a contracted backlog of 11,000 customers, expected to be accretive and rebranded as Pines Holdings Inc.
